Namaskar Mandali, San Diego Maharashtra Mandal, SDMM, is a community group which brings together the Marathi speaking community in San Diego and surrounding areas by organizing cultural, religious, entertainment and educational programs and events which celebrate the rich Maharashtrian culture and tradition from Western India. The organization's membership consists of over 80 families. Every year SDMM committee tries to arrange a variety of events related to traditional Maharashtrian culture. These being programs such as Gudhi Padva, Ganeshotsav, Kojagiri, Diwali among others. Programs are geared to appeal to all generations and Maharashtra Mandal encourages active participation in all events by one and all. Membership and programs are open to the general public.
